Relate Much

I love the MMK story tonight. It’s about a friendship between three girls. I suddenly remembered my two girl best friends during high school -- Abegail and Sheena.

I immediately texted them. I didn’t receive a text back from Abe, since maybe because being a mom already, she’s busy. Sheena is the one who replied. She said that she also remembered the same thing as me – that while watching she even told her Mom our group name before, “Sheralegail”. Oops. I realized I have already forgotten that one. I felt a little guilty. It’s because the one that I can remember is “The 3 Tsismosas” (“The 3 Gossipers”). Haha. So colloquial actually but we all agreed to that. We got that name from the characters of one of the airing TV shows during those times -- the “May Bukas Pa” (“There’s Still Tomorrow”). There were these three old women who were always together, knowing nothing but to gossip all around -- in all their scenes. Haha. I’m not saying that we’re like them in the sense of being gossipers. It’s rather in the terms of being three and always together. On the other hand, the group name Sheena remembered, I somehow recalled, it was derived from our names, with little modification -- She(r) + Ale + Gail.

So by the way, while watching, I really missed them. I related myself to the protagonists. I thought of the same points of our friendship as those of the three on the TV. How I wish I could turn back time to those times. It’s a good thing, the memory have a good job of keeping all of it safe.
